HOW TO CREATE YOUR CUSTOM COLORING BOOK
We like to make creating a custom coloring books super easy for our clients, and while there are several steps involved in creating the book, you’re only involved in a few key decision making moments!
Creating your custom coloring book is easy, fast and fun when you work with Curious Custom! Follow the simple steps below and you'll be on your way to creating your very own custom coloring book in no time!
Step 1: Request your quote
There are a few factors that we take into consideration when providing you with a quote. These factors include the number of pages in your book, the size of your book, and the number of printed/bound books you'd like to receive (or we can delivery just a PDF of the artwork for you to print on your own). We offer great discounts on bulk orders, so the more copies you need the better the price on a per book basis!

Step 2: Receive your quote
Once your request is received I will personally send you a quote via email within a few hours. This quote will detail the cost of designing your book, as well as any printing costs based on your request.
PRO TIP: Consider adding on custom crayon or colored pencil packs for additional brand exposure! All our packs include free customization with your logo and you can find more information here.
Step 3: Send us your images
Next we work directly from your images and ideas to create your custom coloring book! When you are ready to start looking for images, here are a few tips to make it even easier:
We can work with images of almost any quality, but remember that everything is drawn by hand so the better quality your image is, the easier it is to see and draw the details.
Most coloring books are formatted vertically, so keep that in mind when choosing your images. We can work with landscape/horizontal images, it just means that we’ll need to do some cropping to zoom in on a section of the photo that we think will look the best as a coloring page.
Copyright issues can be tricky. We do not advise using any copyrighted images, and it’s best if you send photographs you’ve taken on your own, or sourced from a place that offers free images (or you can pay to license them). A few places to look for images could be Unsplash, Pexels, or Shutterstock.
We can add and change the photos per your request! For example, if you send an image of a house but want to add a sign in the front yard and a person, we can do that!
When you’re ready to send us your images, we like to keep things organized using our simple pagination worksheet. You can download an example of the worksheet here.
Step 4: We create & print your book!
Once all of the images for your coloring book have been received and we know exactly what you'd like to be included in the book, we get right to work on designing your custom coloring book! Our artists hand draw each and every page for you, add any text and create your custom covers. You’ll receive a PDF copy to approve before we send your book off to print!
