Q: How do you create your custom coloring books?
A: We work directly with the client to figure out the best images for their book, then our experienced artists draw each page by hand. CLICK HERE to see some of our other projects.
Q: Can you print and bind it for me?
A: Absolutely! We offer professional printing and binding services for any quantity. CLICK HERE to read the rundown of the full process.
Q: How many pages should my book have?
A: You are welcome to order as many or as few pages as you like, but please note that due to pagination all professionally printed/bound coloring books must have a page number divisible by 4 (8,12,16, etc) or there will be blank pages at the end of the book.
Q: What book sizes do you offer?
A: We offer a variety of sizes, but the most common are 8.5"x11" and 5.5"x8.5". If you have a request for a specific size please reach out for a quote!
Q: What binding options do you provide?
A: Almost all of our books are saddle-stitch bound with 2 staples on the spine. We find these are the most affordable and also high quality. We do also offer spiral binding, but this is less common. If you have a request for a special bind, please reach out for a quote!
Q: How will my book be delivered?
A: Every book is delivered as a high-resolution PDF file for you to approve before we print your final books. Your final printed books will arrive via UPS and we offer guaranteed delivery dates.
Q: I want to print on my own, but not sure how to bind it.
A: We recommend working with us to print and bind whenever possible since our books are designed to our printing specifications, but you can take a look at our DIY binding guide on my blog for some ideas!
Q: How quickly can I get my book?
A: Standard turnaround time is 30 days from time of payment. However, artwork can be done in as little as 24 hours, and printing can be done in as little as 72 hours for a rush fee.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Pricing varies depending on the number of pages, the number of printed books and degree of difficulty of the request. Reach out for a free custom quote!
Q: What is the process of creating a custom coloring book?
A: Creating your custom coloring book is easy, fast and fun when you work with Curious Custom! Follow the simple steps below and you'll be on your way to creating your very own custom coloring book in no time!
Step 1: Request your quote
There are a few factors that we take into consideration when providing you with a quote. These factors include the number of pages in your book, the size of your book, and the number of books you'd like to receive. We offer great discounts on bulk orders so the more copies you need the better the price on a per book basis!
Step 2: Receive your quote
Once your request is received we will send you a quote via email within 24 hours. This quote will detail the cost of designing your book and print your book along with several options for the number of copies to show you the savings with larger orders.
Step 3: Agreements and Invoicing
Once you decide to move forward with your book we will send you a simple agreement to sign as well as an invoice for your project. Since all of our work is 100% custom-made, we do request payment in full prior to designing the book.
Step 4: Images
You're welcome to start sending images at any point! You can send them to us via email, or have a form where you can upload images and document any text you would like to accompany each page.
If you have any notes for the artist you can simply let us know, and most adjustments can be made without additional costs. But we do ask for images for each page represented since all pages are hand-drawn based on your images. We do NOT use computer generated graphics for our coloring pages, everything is completely drawn by hand by our artists.
Step 5: We create your book!
Once all of the images for your coloring book have been received and we know exactly what you'd like to be included in the book, we get right to work on designing your custom coloring book! Our artists hand draw each and every page for you, add any text and create your custom covers.
Step 6: Proof approval
Once we've completed the artwork for your book we will send you a PDF copy for approval. If you have any edits, you can let us know and we will make those updates for you. One round of basic revisions (edits to the text, minor changes to the art, etc) are included at no extra cost. If you decide you would like to replace an image or completely redesign a page, that will incur an extra fee.
Step 7: Printing and Binding
Once you've approved the final PDF of your artwork, we send the artwork off to our printing team where they print, bind and deliver your work!
And that's it!! After you receive your books you can start to share them with your customers, use them as promotions or resell them.
